### RIDE SUMMARY ##

A ride into the North West skirting the rugged Lancashire moors. It will look particularly brooding and beautiful at this time of year.

As early as 4 miles in you’ve got a short, steep leg warmer in Boardman lane.

We’ve managed to squeeze in the top part of Ashworth Valley Road, as the bottom part is still cut off due to a landslide. This means we still get some of the nice climbs towards the end of Ashworth Road and we should get some good views up by the wind turbine, apparently know as Blue Lagoon viewpoint.

We’ll then head for the next climb which is the Grane Road up near Haslingden and we’ll pass over Haslingden and Holmcombe moors before heading back towards Ramsbottom via Lumb Carr Road up to the Shoulder of Mutton. We’ll cross the Irwell and then it’s back down the A56 towards Bury.

Post ride is at Swan & Cemetery in Bury for a drink before heading off home.
## NAVIGATION ##

If you have a GPS device, please download the route so that you can follow it.

Polite request to not ride off of the front if you either do not have the route or you have not studied it.

Please also note that the route ends at the post ride. Prestwich is a few mile ride back down the A56.
