## BIG RIDE DISCLAIMER ##
Please note, our big rides are not for the feint hearted and they are really hilly, tough but ultimately enjoyable rides. We have a lunch stop but they are longer, hillier and slightly faster than our standard rides. If you’re unsure then please speak to us and come to a standard ride first. We’re not ones to be too specific about speed but ideally shouldn’t be much slower than around 12mph average around this sort of course, as otherwise they just take way too long. Thank you.
## RIDE INFO ##
The second big ride of the year. You big ride veterans know the drill by now, it’ll be hilly.
5,400ft of climbing over 65 miles should be enough for most of us, but should be a walk in the park for the Tour de Manc riders among us.
Got some great climbs in this one, loads of good little ones such as Luzley Road but the main ones are Isle of Skye (a personal fave, the big climb coming out of Greenfield), Scapegoat Hill, The Devil’s B@st@rd sponsored by Mark Leigh and Owd Betts. Don’t forget, there will be some brilliant descents too – Wessenden Head, anyone?
As it’s a big ride, we’ll stop off for a lunch stop. Suggest a coffee stop at Bolster Moor Farmshop after toiling up Scapegoat Hill! Link is here: http://www.bolstermoorfarmshop.co.uk/coffee-shop-menu/. This is at around mile 30, so expect we’ll be there around 10:45-11:00, depending how the ride flows.
Hoping to see lots out on this one for what should be another beauty.
Post ride drinks at Same Yet Inn, Simister if we’re back at a decent time of around 14:30 – 15:00.
