Distance: 57 miles

Post Ride: Time dependent but Woodthorpe if anyone is game. Ride ends here. Approx 14:00.

Please note, our big rides are not for the feint hearted and they are really hilly, tough but ultimately enjoyable rides. We have a lunch stop but they are longer, hillier and slightly faster than our standard rides. If you’re unsure then please speak to us and come to a standard ride first. We’re not ones to be too specific about speed but ideally shouldn’t be much slower than around 12mph average around this sort of course, as otherwise they just take way too long. Read more

Standard / Big Ride Format Resumed…

Good Morning,

A reminder that we are now back to our usual ride setup aka ‘non winter rides’ aka ‘standard ride / big ride format’.

For everyone not in the know, that means the Saturday rides are ‘standard rides’ and similar to the lengths we have been doing over winter (up to around 40-45 miles) 9am starts, no lunch stops.

The Sunday rides then become ‘big rides’. They are tough , usually nearer to 60-70 miles, loAds of climbing (~5000ft +) and longer days with lunch stop. 8am starts. If you are unsure of your fitness, then try a standard ride first.

To that end, this Sunday is the first big ride of the year. Route nearly complete and will follow later today.
