Big thanks to Rob Symons for providing this Giro D’Italia inspired route for the second standard ride of April.
A slightly longer loop with a little less climbing than usaul – yes, it’s actually under 3,000ft! Don’t be fooled though, it is a shade under so it’s by no means flat. Any description that includes “lung buster” isn’t going to be easy.

Here’s the description in Rob’s own words:

“45 mile loop, with a couple of early lung busters before heading west towards Adlington & Rivington, before tackling an old favourite in Sheephouse Lane. The climbs continue as we navigate through Chapeltown and Edgeworth and the final push up Tottington Road. From then it’s downhill all the way to the Parkside Inn for Post Ride drinks.”
