April sees spring – hopefully – finally dawning on us and, with the clocks changing, we also revert back to the usual “Standard ride/Big Ride” format.

Some more industrial, main style roads on some parts of this one but think it’s worth it for a tootle out and about round Glossop way. Especially down Chunal, which we’ve not done before. We’ve got some nice interesting roads along the way and of course the standard hilly fare.

If you’re unsure of your fitness/ability to complete the route in a suitable time, then have a chat with us and we can try and advise accordingly.

If possible, please could you download the route and follow it if you have a GPS device. If you don’t, that’s fine, but please aquaint yourself with roughly where we are going and make sure you are around somone who knows where they are going.

The post ride is open for debate really. Could stop at the Woodhouse Gardens in Woodhouses, which is Mark’s stomping ground. Might be nice to mix it up. This is around 7 miles from Prestwich, so ensure you have an idea of where to go if we do this and you don’t fancy the pub. The other option is the Woodthorpe Pub back in Prestwich.

Safety and Ride Updates:

Here’s a link to some important information/safety stuff about our rides, please have a read before attending our rides. https://allezprestwich.co.uk/ride-information-safety-tips/

Also, please visit the website, Facebook or Twitter channels periodically, and especially the day of the ride, to ensure nothing has changed. We sometimes have to make weather enforced changes to start times or in extremes may even have to cancel rides.
