Hey everyone,

Here’s a copy of the details from the ride page for this Saturday’s ride.

Saturday April 2nd 2016 – Standard Ride – Booth Wood Bowler // 9am

Route Link: Booth Wood Bowler
Distance: 41 miles
Elevation: 3,000ft
Moving Time: 3 hours approx. (not counting stops)

April’s standard club ride is a 41 mile loop featuring a fair amount of climbing (quelle suprise!). The jewel in the crown is an old friend – the challenging climb up Grains Road.

From here we’ll head up through Denshaw and on to Boothswood Reservoir and Baitings Reservoir before heading up to Blackstone Edge Reservoir.

All the climbing will be rewarded by the long flowing run down into Littleborough on the way back to Prestwich. Where post ride refuels are an essential tonic for our riders :) We’ll likely head to our “Clubhouse” at All The Shapes Cafe Bar in Prestwich for beers/coffees/cakes if anyone would like to join us afer.

Moving time should be around 3 hours but this doesn’t include stops, mechanicals or other unplanned events. Dependent on the pace of the rider, we’ll most likely be back in Prestwich at any time from 12:30 – 13:00 (ish).

Thanks to Rob Symons for the great route. It should be a beauty and we hope to see many of you on the ride. Spring weather would be a delight.

Here’s a link to some important information/safety stuff about our rides, please have a read before attending our rides. https://allezprestwich.co.uk/ride-information-safety-tips/

Also, please the website, Facebook or Twitter channels periodically, and especially the day of the ride, to ensure nothing has changed. We sometimes have to make weather enforced changes to start times or in extremes may even have to cancel rides.
