Can’t wait for this one, let’s just hope it stays dry.

As ever, it’s  a 9am meet at St Mary’s Flower Park, Prestwich and then on we go. We’ll stop for lunch and drinks in Disley (around 40 miles in).

Details below:-

Sunday March 20th 2016 – Big Ride – Wizard & Brickworks // 9am

Route Link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12403568
Distance: 61 miles
Elevation: 3,500ft

Our ‘Big’ rides are our more testing, slightly longer and slightly harder rides. If you’re unsure of your fitness/hill fitness, then please feel free to come and try out a ‘Standard’ ride first before joining the ‘Big’ rides.

The first real big ride of the year at a shade over the 60 mile mark with a nice 3,500 ft of climbing. It should be enjoyable but make sure you’re comfortable with the distance and climbs.

The route takes us south for the first time really, out towards Chesire and then taking our two notable climbs as we head back east. First up is The Wizard climb just out of Alderly Edge.

We then wind our way further towards the peaks before finally coming to Pott Shirgley to take on the Brickworks climb, heading up through the Peak District up towards Disley.

We’ll stop for some lunch in Disley on this ride as it’s quite a long one.

Here’s a link to some important information/safety stuff about our rides, please have a read before attending our rides. https://allezprestwich.co.uk/ride-information-safety-tips/

Also, please check here, on our website or Twitter channels periodically, and especially the day of the ride, to ensure nothing has changed. We sometimes have to make weather enforced changes to start times or in extremes may even have to cancel rides.
